How Exercise benefits your Mind and Spirit

Updated: Nov 16, 2023

How many times have you heard that exercise is good for the body?

It seems like almost everyone knows that it's important to stay active if you want to maintain a healthy physical state.

But what about your mind and spirit? Few people realize just how beneficial exercise can be in those areas as well!

In this blog post, we will discuss how fitness and the soul are linked and why it's so important to keep both of them healthy.

We'll also provide some tips on how you can get started on your own spiritual fitness journey.

Exercise shifts energy locked in the body.

The first thing to understand is that the soul and exercise are closely linked.

By moving your body regularly through the activity of fitness, you will be benefiting your soul not just now but for years to come.

This is because exercise helps us to shift the energy locked in the body through stress and the daily grind.

the important thing is that you make it a priority

When we release this energy, it allows us to access a higher level of consciousness that can be very beneficial for the mind and spirit.

There are many different ways to get started with spiritual fitness.

One of the best things you can do is to find an activity that you enjoy and make it a regular part of your day.

Whether it's going for a walk in nature, taking a yoga class, or simply spending some time stretching and meditating, the important thing is that you make it a priority.

You may also want to consider a journaling club or attending a spiritual retreat to help jumpstart your journey, this is because people that attend these spaces or activities are likely to have a strong link to regular physical exercise.

Exercise benefits all human souls the same.

No matter what path you choose in life, remember that fitness and the soul go hand-in-hand for all people.

By taking care of your body, you are also taking care of your mind and spirit.

And when you take care of those things, you are able to live a more joyful, fulfilling life.

I've been recently getting more fit after I joined the local Gym.

Attending the classes has helped increase my confidence again in the gym.

After exercising you can tell that your mind is clear

I have been training on and off since I was 16 years old.

I forgot just how important it is for us to move our bodies and sweat sometimes.

I'm not just talking about the physical benefits of working out but also how good it feels for our minds and spirits as well.

After exercising you can tell that your mind is clear, body buzzing with energy and the life force exuded is put out into the universe as an amplified state, saying that you're alive and well!

Exercising betters you to live in a state of growth

Soulful living to me is a life where I am continuously growing and bettering myself in all areas including my mind, body, and soul.

Here are 6 tips on how you can get started on your own spiritual fitness journey:
  1. Find an activity that you enjoy and make it a regular part of your day.

  2. Make sure to find an activity that gets you moving and sweating.

  3. Consider taking it lightly by starting with just a few minutes of activity each day and gradually increasing the time you spend.

  4. Choose an activity that will help you connect with nature or your surroundings.

  5. Yoga, vocal journaling on a walk while using voice notes, and strength training are all excellent choices for spiritual fitness activities.

  6. Remember that it's not about perfection but rather about consistency.

You don't have to start on January 1 or on a Monday to get your body and soul back into a healthy routine. You can start today!

Just make sure that you are being consistent with your activity and giving yourself time to rest and recover.

Soulful living is a journey, not a destination.

Enjoy the process and be patient with yourself as you grow in all areas of life, including your spiritual fitness.

I hope this blog post has inspired you to get out there and start moving your body for the benefit of your mind, body, and soul.
